What fantastic news for Dapto Public School on the weekend, with the announcement of this years' winners of the Young Archies, the school age section of the Archibald Prize.
This year we achieved some amazing results with three finalists out of the ten chosen in the national competition, being Dapto Public School students!!
Our finalists, Daniel Harford and Mia Davis from 2M as well as Sophie Jones from 5N were invited to the presentation at the Art Gallery of NSW on Saturday, where the announcement was made. We are incredibly proud to say that Daniel was declared as the WINNER of the 5-8 years category.
This is a massive achievement for Daniel and our school and we are sure that this will be a lifelong memorable event for him and the other finalists.
