Dapto Public School runs several Extra-Curricular Programs within the school.

Environmental Education
The whole school is concerned with our environment, and we actively investigate ways to utilise our resources effectively whilst developing conservation ideals. (click here for more information)
Public Speaking
Each school in the Dapto Learning Community, primary and high schools, participate each year in the Public Speaking Competition. The students K-12 are required to prepare and deliver a formal speech on a designated topic, within a specified time frame. All students then present their speech to their class. Next 2 or 3 students are selected to represent their class at the Stage Finals held in their own school. From our Stage Finals, one student is selected in each stage to represent their Stage at the Dapto Learning Community Grand Final in Term 3.
We are always extremely proud of the excellent standard displayed by the students at Dapto Public School. Our students' presentations consistently demonstrate quality vocabulary, diligent effort and confidence. They are also required to maintain eye contact with the audience and speak in a clear and audible voice.
Debating
Students need to work as a team to present a specific point of view to persuade an audience. There are 2 teams in the debate. Convincing language, detailed researched information and rebutals are an integral component of a successful debate.
Community Programs
Dapto Public School works with the community and proudly supports community projects including:
- Students helping to design a playground within a local community building estate.
- Students working together with other local school students to help design and paint a mural for the local swimming pool.
